The autumn scholarship round opened on 14 July. Applications close 15 September.
Council raised the annual award for full time study from $3,500 to $4,200, and doubled the trade and certificate fund after two years in which it ran out before the spring term.
The book and technology grant is unchanged at $600 and does not require a separate application. Every student who receives an award receives the grant.
Thirty eight citizens received an award last year. The Higher Education office expects more this year and asks students not to wait until the closing week, because incomplete applications cannot be fixed after the deadline.
