Field work on the water and in the office. Stock assessment, shellfish sampling, habitat survey, and data entry.

Required. Comfort working on small boats in cold weather. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Valid driver’s licence.

Operates the water system and the wastewater treatment plant, takes samples, keeps records, and responds to breaks and alarms on a rotating on call schedule.

Required. State operator certification, or the ability to obtain it within eighteen months, which the Nation will pay for. Valid driver’s licence.

Supports the classroom teacher, prepares materials, and works with small groups.

Required. Willingness to learn the language and to enroll in the adult class. No prior teaching experience is required.

Teaches in the immersion classroom for children aged two to six. Works alongside the existing classroom teacher and a half time assistant.

Required. Ability to teach in the Nation’s language, or enrollment in the speaker apprenticeship with a commitment to complete it. A teaching certificate is preferred but the Nation will support the right candidate through certification.

Also required. Background check, and the ability to be on site for the school day.

Provides personal care, homemaker services and companionship to elders in their own homes. Mileage is reimbursed and a vehicle is available.

Required. Valid driver’s licence, background check, and the patience the work actually takes. Certification is preferred but the Nation will train.

Scans, catalogues and describes photographs and paper records under the Archivist’s direction. Handles requests from citizens at the reading desk.

Required. Care, patience, and the discretion the access policy demands. This position sees material that is closed to the public, and confidentiality is a condition of employment.

Experience with a collections database is helpful but will be taught.
