Advanced conversation circle

A conversation circle rather than a class. Runs year round and takes new members at the start of any month.

Speaker apprenticeship

A paid year long apprenticeship pairing an apprentice with a first language speaker. Four places.

The apprenticeship pays a stipend and runs for a full year at fifteen hours a week. Apprentice and speaker set their own hours together. Four places are funded for the coming year.

Applications are reviewed by the Education and Culture committee of Council, not by the department alone, because the apprenticeship is a commitment of the Nation’s money and of a speaker’s time.

Who teaches these classes

This demonstration deliberately names no instructor and no speaker.

On a real Nation's site these lines carry the names of real teachers, and often the name of the elder a class is built around. Inventing those people would mean inventing speakers of a language that does not exist, which is the one thing this project will not do. Why.
