Office of the Chairperson
The Chairperson carries out Council direction, represents the Nation to other governments, and signs on the Nation's behalf. The office does not make law. Council does.
Open office hours are held the first Wednesday of each month, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Community Hall. No appointment is needed and no subject has to be cleared in advance.
Constitution, codes and ordinances
The Nation governs under its own constitution, adopted in 1978 and amended four times since. Ordinances adopted by Council carry the force of law on Tribal lands. Everything Council adopts is public.
